I've shot my movie in 16:9 widescreen but my camera broke down by the end. I had to shoot the remaining scenes with another camera without widescreen capabilities. They are both miniDV.

The way I'm editing it is, I usually take the widescreen footage and edit it in normal ratio so it looks stretched out. Then, I would use the "transform" filter, so I can compress it all at once at the end.

So, do I crop the top and bottom of the non-widescreen video? If I do that, I might run into complications later. Such as, the black bars wont look the same or, something I'm not anticipating. Or,

Do I take the non-widescreen footage and stretch it out (thus croping the top and bottom) so I can edit both formats together. Then when finished I can add the filter to compress it all.

Do I make sense? **** .
